IL NOSTRO DIARIO DI BORDO, IL NOSTRO VIAGGIO DENTRO LA CITTADANZA EUROPEA

OUR LOG BOOK, OUR JOURNEY INTO EUROPEAN CITIZENSHIP

Agosto 2026: abbiamo saputo del nostro progetto approvato! Felici ed impauriti!
Dance of Life è un progetto intergenerazionale.
Chiunque potrà candidarsi: Young 18-35 anni e Senior 60+

August 2026: we found out our project had been approved! We’re both happy and a bit nervous!
Dance of Life is an intergenerational project.
Our journey began with our first contacts with the host countries. We were welcomed by Turkey and Finland, Ayzin, Mehmet and Hugh.
We contacted the Youth Council of the Municipality of Ponte nelle Alpi, which was immediately enthusiastic about the initiative.
We drew up a draft questionnaire for the selection of participants.
Anyone can apply: Young people aged 18–35 and seniors aged 60 and over

Settembre 2026:

September 2026: the team in Florence for the kick-off event hosted by INDIRE’s National Agency … two days that were both extremely useful and ‘daunting’ at the same time. Now that the project has been approved … what do we do? Help! Au secours! Will we manage it?
Like any journey, we need to prepare: luggage, activities, contacts, logistics and plenty and plenty of an open mind, a willingness to engage in dialogue, an openness to cultural diversity and a desire to pack our own identity away too. As the great Paolo Balboni often says, “Chi parte mona, torna mona” (from a Venetian proverb), but we won’t be!
What does that mean? Here it is: travelling broadens the mind and awakens it, but anyone who is foolish or narrow-minded (mona) when they set off will remain so even after travelling the world.
Full steam ahead, then!
An initial logo has been created, but it’s just a starting point; it’ll be great to design others with the group of learners and let our imaginations run wild!
We’re now working on the print materials, the poster to promote the project and engaging the learners from ‘Le Lingue nel Mondo’.

9 OCTOBER 2026: as well as being an important date for us … Commemoration of the Vajont disaster … today we have displayed the ERASMUS+ and Co-funding logos on the outside of the building, along with the poster inviting people to the project presentation. We can’t wait! Dear Albo d’Oro, we would like to remind everyone that Le Lingue nel Mondo is based right in the village of Nuova Erto, which took in the refugees following the tragedy of 1963.
